PWAA Minor EJEPL Showcase Recap

The CT RiverHawks PWAA Minor team participated in their first EJEPL Showcase this weekend. The team played all of their games out of the Astor Rinks in Aston, PA, skating home with a 2-2 record. They kicked off their showcase on Friday against the Ashburn Xtreme playing to a commanding 5-0 victory. Saturday saw the team split their games dropping their morning contest to the Long Island Arrows 3-0 only to rebound later that day against the Red Bank 6-2. Their final game came Sunday morning against the Ramapo Saints a 6-5 nail-biting loss in Double OT! The kids had a great showing against some of their toughest competition of the season to date.

Between bonding as a team, watching some great hockey, consuming many Philly Cheesesteaks, and playing even more Among Us than anyone thought possible, this team really came together this weekend and had a blast. Great job RiverHawks PWAA!

The CT RiverHawks Squirt AA Major team had their first EJEPL showcase this past weekeend down at Ice Line Quad Rinks in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The team played their hearts out and came home 4-0, winning every game including a shutout to close out the showcase! On Friday 10/2 the RiverHawks came out on fire against the Hollydell Hurricanes skating away to a 11-3 victory. Later that day they took the ice against the Woodbridge Wolfpack and went back to the hotel after an 8-1 win. The second day of the showcase saw them facing off against the Howard Huskies playing to a 7-1 win. They capped off the weekend with a convincing 3-0 shutout win over the New Jersey Stars. Way to go RiverHawks!

Tournaments and showcases are always a great time for team bonding. Being only 30 minutes out of Philadelphia the team took advantage of getting some Geno's & Pat's cheese steaks as well as visiting other nearby attractions such as the Rocky steps. On the way out of Philly you could see the stadiums for the Eagles, Phillies, and 76er's all packed close together.
